Workforce engagement post-Covid
The Task
As a result of UK’s EU Exit, the Covid-19 pandemic and increased pet ownership has dramatically affected the number of vets and vet nurses joining and staying in the veterinary professions, as well as the demand for veterinary services. Having worked with The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) throughout the pandemic, RCVS commissioned Customer Faithful to research the experience of vet professionals in the workplace and identify the everyday challenges being faced.
Customer Faithful used Design-Thinking principles to underpin a series of remote focus groups and in-depth interviews. We then used the findings as the key input for a national Workforce Summit to communicate and explore the issues across a wide set of stakeholders.
Key Impact
RCVS has used the research findings and Workforce Summit outputs to develop a Workforce Action Plan, formed around Seven Ambitions. The Action Plan is now being communicated across the profession..
“There is nothing cookie-cutter about Customer Faithful’s approach - everything was custom-built to fit our complex needs, from super-relevant content, to Covid-friendly access, even the delivery timing of the sessions to suit busy veterinary professionals!
We have had such great feedback from their work, which has led to increased engagement and dissemination of knowledge on veterinary innovation and driving change. As a result, we're continuing to work with them, harnessing their design thinking tools and techniques to create ongoing learning, events and programmes.
If you're serious about driving innovation into your organisation and up-skilling your workforce to improve their creativity, I would highly recommend working with them.”
